New Year, New Post!

I realize I've been absolutely terrible at keeping up with my blog. Mostly because I always want to blog about my artistic adventures, but with school I hardly find any time for myself to make my OWN art (even though I'm submerged in it all day long). I have been working on a few things lately, but I guess I will just post about life.

Last night Matt & I were able to spend some time with some very good friends playing Whirly ball - now, this was my first time, but I wasn't scared. Took me a while to get used to steering the little car and actually learning how to catch/throw the ball, but it was a blast! Hopefully the more we play the better I will get. Matt was a pro!

We also went to Campisi's for dinner - the very same one where we first met! It brings back such sweet memories when we are there. We met there June 14, 2007 with most of the same people around. I met up with all of them after they had played Whirly ball one night. Needless to say there was magic in the air and the rest is history. I am having the best time of my life being married to Matt - now for just over seven months!

We had such a wonderful Christmastime and New Years being married :) Our families were so good to us! Over the break we were able to spend some time in Lubbock with Marm, Grandbob, and lots of other friends/family. I worked on (with help from the rest of the family) a very special book about Mema, called "Legacy", which was a hit and made everyone cry (predictable). I'll post some photos of the finished result sometime soon. It was soooo good to see Molly & Jeremy, too! They will be getting married two weeks from TODAY!

I think about our wedding day every day, since this time last year I was in the midst of all the hussle & bussle of planning it. We are approaching our one year anniversary. How blessed we are to have found one another.
