canvases are expensive!

While browsing through HomeGoods the other day we ran through the clearance section and found a stack of paintings DEEPLY discounted. I found this beauty for $25!
It's 35"x35" and is a gallery-wrap canvas, complete with in-tact supports across the back. There was literally nothing wrong with this piece except for a little knick on the very top edge of the canvas, which is barely noticeable and won't even be seen when it's hung. The canvas is a tad loose from the frame, but that's typical for store-bought art and is easily fixable.
Now, I'm not too crazy about the artwork itself, so I have a plan. If you're a painter, you probably arleady know just how expensive gallery-wrapped canvases can be, especially something of this size. I've been looking for a few to create some paintings for our new place. So what am I going to do? PAINT OVER IT! (My apologies to the original artist.) Oh, boy, do I have plans...
